Richa and Anusha, two passionate entrepreneurs dreamt to provide a healthy and safe menstruation to women across the country in affordable prices while contributing to the environmental safety.
Ms. Richa Vatsyayan
Following her passion of working for women and communities in need, Ms. Richa Vatsyayan, envisioned providing innovative and environmentally responsive solution for safe and hygienic menstruation. She laid the foundation of Sanitrust biodegradable pads in Patna, Bihar to produce pads from natural banana fibres.
Despite lack of resources and several hurdles coming her way, Richa took each obstacle as a challenge and invested her hard-work, experience and energies into ‘Sanitrust’ to benefit her state with production of affordable and eco-friendly sanitary pads. As a result of her well-planned strategies, her start-up became the first one to be owned and managed by a female in Bihar and earned recognitions from state and national governments. As Director of Cislunar Janki Private Limited (CJPL) and founder of Sanitrust Biodegradable Pads, Richa is using her excellent leadership skills and strategizing capabilities to elevate Sanitrust to new heights.
Ms. Anusha Singh
Ms. Anusha Singh is the co-founder of ‘Sanitrust’ biodegradable pads and director of Cislunar Janki Private Limited. She is a TISS Mumbai alumnus and possesses immense experience in social work and development sector. Her expertise is in sensitising communities on life skills and female reproductive health by establishing deep rooted connections with them. As a life skill expert, she has worked diligently to empower girls and women and improve the quality of their lives.
Working for ‘Sanitrust’, she is fulfilling her dream of ensuring availability of low-cost, high-quality product for girls and women in the society. She believes that sanitary pads developed from natural fibers are not only cost-effective and environment friendly but also sustainable method for maintaining hygienic menstruation.
